Stewards aid their charges in indirect ways. Applying Wyld Essence with a caress or well-placed strike, the Lunar triggers a sudden mutation in her target. Against unwilling targets, the character can communicate this effect with a normal attack that inflicts no damage.

The Lunar's player rolls (Intelligence + Essence) at a difficulty of the target's Essence. Targets may submit willingly, adding one automatic success to the roll. Each success in the roll's threshold becomes one point of mutation the character may dictate in the target. Mutations develop over the next five minutes, often painfully.

The Lunar has no power to make these changes permanent. The recipient does, if he has sufficient experience points to spend.
